Privacy Policy

This page explains what data SnipSend can access, how it is used, and what controls users have when they use the app.

Last updated: 2026-04-05

SnipSend is a utility app that helps users prepare and open WhatsApp click-to-chat messages. This privacy policy explains what data the app can access, how it is used, and how users can control that access.

Data We Access

SnipSend may access the following data only when the related feature is used:

  • Contacts: If the user has purchased the ad-free feature and taps the contact picker, the app may request access to device contacts so the user can choose a phone number.
  • Location: If the user taps the current-location action, the app may request access to device location to generate a map link.
  • Saved content entered by the user: The app stores user-created saved items such as phone numbers, addresses, notes, and map links on the device.
  • Local backup files: If the user exports or restores a backup, the app may write or read a user-selected local JSON backup file containing saved items and local preferences.
  • Purchase status: The app stores purchase state locally and queries Google Play Billing to determine whether the ad-free entitlement is active.
  • Diagnostics and analytics: The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and diagnose crashes.

How We Use Data

We use data only to provide the app's features:

  • Contacts are used only to let the user select a phone number to paste into the destination field.
  • Location is used only to generate a current-location link when the user requests it.
  • Saved items are used to build reusable message content chosen by the user.
  • Local backup files are used only when the user chooses to export or restore their own local app data.
  • Purchase status is used to unlock ad-free behavior and contact picking for eligible users.
  • Analytics and crash reports are used to improve stability and understand feature usage.

Data Sharing

SnipSend does not sell user data.

SnipSend may share limited technical data with the following service providers only as needed to operate the app:

  • Google Play Billing for purchase processing and entitlement restoration.
  • Firebase Analytics for app analytics.
  • Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.

The app does not upload the user's contact list to our own servers.

User Control

  • Contacts permission can be denied in Android settings.
  • Location permission can be denied in Android settings.
  • Saved local content can be deleted from inside the app.
  • Users can export a local backup file and later restore it manually from a file they choose.
  • Users can uninstall the app at any time.

Data Retention

  • Saved app content is stored locally on the device until the user deletes it or uninstalls the app.
  • Backup files exported by the user remain wherever the user saves them until the user deletes them.
  • Purchase state may be cached locally to improve app behavior and can be refreshed from Google Play.
  • Analytics and crash data are retained according to Firebase and Google policies.

Children

SnipSend is not directed to children.
